We know how important it is to #BeOutside; to connect to ourselves, our communities, and the Planet. We’ve learned that you don’t have to climb a mountain - just get outside as much as you can (at a safe distance!).
Here is the ultimate outdoor guide to green spaces and best kept spots in Toronto, as contributed by our community.
Where is your go-to route for a long walk or hike?
Nordheimer Ravine “Secluded trails hidden right in the city make for a calming evening walk. Super quiet and perfect if you need a bit of an escape.”
- Sena
West Toronto Rail Path "I love this path because it's for pedestrians and cyclists only. Plus, you can do a little dance if you feel like it (I do!)."
- Olivia
What is your favourite route to go bike riding?
Grace Street "I’ve always loved biking from my home on Dundas up Grace St en route to Christie Pitts. Grace is lined with trees and homes that resemble my hometown, a smaller town up North. The ride feels nostalgic and most notably, the trip back home is all downhill :)"
- Tori
Evergreen Brickworks "If you're looking for a bike ride in nature, look no further."
- Paula
Where is the best view of Toronto?
Casa Loma "Such a great spot to overlook the city. There are stairs, but how else would you get see the beautiful view?"
- Alice
Riverdale East Park "The most epic view of the city. We have to give the east-end some more love."
- Brooke
Where is there a place where you can play, hang, or just sit and have a moment to yourself?
High Park “High Park has so many large open green spaces that are perfect for throwing around a frisbee, having a picnic or exploring with my toddler.”
- Caroline
Toronto Music Garden "Such a peaceful little garden. With a beautiful view and easy access, this is a nice place to get relax and make you feel like you left the city."
- Alannah
